On July 1, with a new moon and the last day of my 37th year, I spent sunset in my new kitchen with fresh food picked from the garden up the road. Steamed beets and kale salad.
Like a woman just falling in love, every angle of light in the new house had me enamored. I found so much beauty in how the sun was shining through the window, dazzling through blue and green glass, illuminating the steam from the pot of ruby red beets.
It’s good to be home!
