Over the past seven months, our temporary home offered us a haven with abundance. More than plenty.
But one thing lacking was light. Photographer’s light, that is. I just never found a spot where I could get a shot illumined the way I wanted.
With the garden flush, and the mango tree dropping, I simply took a pause on photography and harvested a multitude of blessings elsewhere. Though quietly I wished for our future home to have the light I love.
So it was a welcome sight yesterday afternoon, when I rounded the corner of our new kitchen to see the radicchio resting on the counter in all of its radiance. Sunlight dazzled through big windows by the sink, stopping me in my tracks, and sending me on a U-turn for my camera.
Ahhhh! Let there be light!
The lack of good photography light can be so frustrating, really…
Splendid colour and pattern!
