It seems the Archives are caught in a bit of a time delay. I’m still sorting through photos and mementos from our July family trip, a good portion of which was spent in British Columbia.
For our two nights in Victoria, we hunkered down at the quirky Hotel Zed, where a Jenga tower teetered on the corner of the check in counter, their tricked-out Volkswagen shuttled us downtown, and Bob Marley was on the turn table at the listening station in the lobby. Novelty abounded, circa 1973.
A brief walk to the nearby Galloping Goose Trail, and we were gifted a stream-side stroll through tunnels bedecked in psychedelic murals, reaching.
Stretches, forwards and back, in time.
I know where I’m staying next time I’m in Victoria! Groovy spot.

It WAS groovy. We’d go back again, type some letters and spin some more records. 🙂
